We got 0.99 inches of rain Saturday morning. It poured! Still overcast with some drizzle. I'm VERY tired of the rain and overcast. The previous two Mays we had here were glorious.

Yes, this has definitely been a colder and less sunny spring!

Cold last week and this week here to. Highs in the 50’sF and if we are lucky a 60F will sneak in. Next week same story. May is a fickle weather month. One day it’s snowing the next it’s 70’F. I just hope we don’t experience another unusual blazing hot summer . I have been down sizing the garden the past flew years to exclude plants that require daily watering way down , even planters and pots.

On my second cup of coffee. My throat was like raw hamburger meat, swallowing hurt. What to deaden the pain? AH-HA! I found Kahlua! I sipped Kahlua all weekend, alcohol works well on a sore throat!

My wilted cucumber and tomato plants revived and are begging to go outside. I might make that my goal for today.

The lunch service hours (12-14) is over, I will make a iced coffee later and drink in the garden!

Running a tiny neighborhood Café is an interesting and meaningful job, I love it.

Today's Almond tart with peach and blueberry inside~

Two whipped ganache - Earl Grey Tea and Bitter Chocolate, both taste wonderful, also lovely combination.

I love the new coasters, too - especially their facial expression, haha.

Wow, you are a very talented baker and artist! Your creations are so pretty I want to frame them! Maybe if I visited your cafe I would buy one treat for myself to eat and one to frame!

Besides enjoying the offerings and visiting sites on that border near Belgium/Netherlands ..

. I think that it would be the most fun ..
