I went out earlier and already you can feel the heat. We are going to be close to 100 today and tomorrow. I am sipping coffee and wondering what I should do about the garden for next year. The corn is done. I did not get much, but it tastes good. I still am not getting red tomatoes. I have a lot of large green ones though.
The tree cutters came and cut the dead maple tree down and DS has been making trips to the dump. I have been helping rake and put things in the truck. He is having chainsaw troubles. I am really surprised it even turned on after not being used for years. He has some of the bigger parts of the trunk cut, but he still has the biggest part left. It really was not that big of a tree. The branches are so dry they just snap. There is not a drop of sap or green in the tree. All the bark is falling off.
