... Crazy how things can happen so fast.
May the Lord give you peace, strength and wisdom to walk thru the coming events.I woke up early the other morning and did not feel well. I was short of breath. I had DS take me to the ER. I was worried the pulmonary embolism was back even though I am on a blood thinner, but nope, this time it is severe mitral regurgitation. The mitral valve needs repair or replaced. I was admitted, but went home the next day because they could not fit me in their schedule for the tests, and have to get them done outpatient. I will be going Tuesday to have a TEE and right and left heart cath to decide what needs to be done. I am calming down about that. I have never been put under anesthesia.
The choices of how they could fix it would be robotic repair at Sacred Heart in Spokane or open heart to repair or replace and if they find any clogged arteries they will fox those during the open heart. If I am in bad shape then I guess they can fix it through the groin and clip it, but they said it might not last. The robotic and the open heart they put you on a heart and lung machine, so all of this is like shocking and terrifying. I am trying to be calm. It helps when i hear people tell me not to worry and they have been put under anesthesia or had procedures like this.
DD and her husband took the plants all out of the metal boxes for me going to come back and do some more work to get the garden put to bed for the winter. I had just bought bags of composted chicken manure and bedding and I was going to put that on each box before winter.
Maybe next spring I will be feeling really good. This just happened I think because I have never had shortness of breath. The shortness of breath is gone because they gave me Lasix and I got rid of fluid. I am just weak and tired now. Crazy how things can happen so fast.
