Thankfully. I found a company that sells meat and vegetables from farms

It's highly expensive for the meat but worth every penny knowing that the animals are fed and treated well. I just have to half my consumption.

IMHO. Quality is so important and supporting our farms even more so.

So nice to be back with my toast and marmalade with tea from my snow shoveling. And now, coffee after that herbal tea ... more saved for later :).

Could not do the job with a broom. There might be close to 2", not much to lift with the shovel but my 30 minutes of exercise was 50 minutes

And then, an unexpected arrival of the window replacement guys a day early.

Oh, they called Tuesday afternoon. I had to clear areas on the deck and in 2 rooms. Arrival was at 8 and they were in and out of this little house until 3pm. An hour of cleanup ...

Got it done with a large, new window in the kitchen. I bet I was more exhausted by sundown than the workers ;). My 9 hours in bed provides testimony :D.

Replacement.

I told the guy that if we just had the deck roof removed, we would have a nice view when sitting at the kitchen table. The covered deck is useful but I dislike the roof blocking the view from 2 house windows. DW has been lobbying for a replacement of our one remaining metal framed window for decades. Metal and glass bleed moisture every time there's cold weather cooking going on.

Oops, the snow reportedly all around us has begun falling in serious fashion here at home. Somewhere, above the storm clouds, the sunrise has happened.
