time to celebrate the morning with some hot water and ? coffee would now be very strange for me, it would be like starting the day with a definite body slam or whack in the head... i don't think i want to do that. hot chocolate would be ok. a bowl of oatmeal, peanut butter and some chocolate squares melted into it would be even better and then a little milk poured on top. yes, that's sounding possible... :)

I'm sitting back, finishing the oolong and anticipating the herbal tea.

Happily, I don't have to go anywhere this AM. The road out front looks like a mirror. Snowed and rained just a little late afternoon into the hours of darkness. The airport Weather Service reports were mostly on "mist." All fell on frozen surfaces — the earlier prediction of above freezing temperatures didn't happen.

People really need to plan on scraping car windows and taking slow commutes to work.

I was just imagining how life might have been in an igloo through a Winter. Each "day" there's so little daylight that the rather barren landscape outdoors is nearly inaccessible. Indoors, there is little room for more than a cooking area and for sleeping.

Outdoors presently and in this location, there is heavy fog and overcast skies above, I'm guessing. The Full Moon is sorely missing. "Staying put" is the best plan.

And then, there's @baymule 's Texas farm ..!

On my second cup of coffee, then I gotta get up and moving. Tinkerbelle took 8 ounces this morning. I've been putting her in an empty jug (pen) during the day so she can be outside. Yesterday she nibbled some hay. I need to bring in a little feed for her so she can start tasting that. If I put some in the jug for her, ewes on both sides try to get it. Greedy things.
Sunny and bright all week, full moon hanging in the night sky. Unseasonally warm here, not complaining, but it sure is dry. Could use some rain. The gorgeous weather sure has made lambing a lot easier. Still have 10 or 11 to lamb plus a couple of late stragglers.
Took last gulp, gonna get dressed and see if there are any new wobbly bobbly lambs out there. And put Tinkerbelle outside for the day. She is taking 7 ounces every 3 hours.
