We visited some friends yesterday and went home late, the first thing I did today after getting up is making new bread, feel good at home.

I had 2 cups this morning. But, I changed a lighbulb between the two. Had to bring the stepladder in to do it. The stepstool isn't as high as a chair and it is absolutely all.I.can.do to reach the ceiling fixture on a chair. Safety calls for the ladder but the coffee after was still needed :).

My father's birthday, also.

Born in 1918, I remember his mother explaining that it was, indeed, 1918. She was in her 90's by that time but seemed plenty sharp. It was also in his military and SSA records. Dad made it to October of 2019. He provided a nearly unimaginable target for his sons.
My mother was born in 1915 and she made it to 89-1/2. Your dad did set a high goal and I hope you make it! I sure hope I break my mother's record. lol

I have had coffee and breakfast. I just looked at my sweet pea seeds and I now have 11 up. A couple of them are going to have leaves open and I am readying that they should go outside in the greenhouse. I do not have a real greenhouse, but this is plastic over a frame with shelves. I read the sweet peas can handle down to like 23 or 24 degrees. I think I will put them out Saturday because the lows will be a little warmer. I have more seeds in the mail coming and I am trying to figure out where to put them. Any sweet pea advice? I only planted them once in a pot and they did not get real big and they did not have scent. I have bought ones with strong scent.

I think I will put the onions and the cabbage seedlings outside too. I think these metal boxes are really going to help me. I am not sure I can get down on my knees and back up enough to plant the whole garden. My left leg just does not work like it used to. I used to watch people working in the garden bending over at the waist and I was always down on my knees. I went out the other day and used a trowel and turned the dirt in the boxes and got any weeds out that were sprouting and it was so easy.

No, but I wish I did! lol I did have a lot of cosmos last year. I am hoping some come back but I have seeds I will plant. I had the best luck with them just putting seeds in the ground.

yes, they're pretty reliable plants if you can get the ones that do finish their seeds in time before the frosts come along. the seeds are popular to give away. :)
