I love columbines, they’re a very special flower for me (I was born in Colorado, where they’re the state flower). I want to share some photos of mine, and I’d love to see some of y’all’s columbines, too!

I bought this one last fall for $5 because it had stoped blooming and looked a bit sad. It came back up beautifully this spring.

This yellow one came as a surprise tag-along with some blackberries my grandparents mailed from Colorado.

I had a yellow and purple columbine a few years ago (got it on sale in fall, so I never really got to see it bloom, and it died over the winter), and the tiny volunteers that popped up from the seeds finally bloomed! I love the ombre purple on the outer petals.

I saw some gorgeous columbines at Home Depot a few weeks ago; sort of a pastel colored mix. They’re some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen! It was a special planter with several plants (and really expensive!), so I didn’t get any, but I hope to get some similar ones someday!
