Probably more unsettling would be some of our very wealthy feeling that they have to think about the cost of electricity.

Bothering with conservation is probably a bridge too far but if they were to feel any serious need ...

I imagine that many would prefer to go out the window of a highrise rather than have no butter for their toast.

I still hang my clothing out to dry on warm days. It saves on electricity. I do not hang out my towels. I don't like how stiff they feel after.

I saw this picture of a bed on a woman's blog. She is into gardening, making soap, just back to basic type housekeeping, and her bed had a pink sheet, and a white sheet, and 2 different colored pillowcases, a really pretty bedspread, and it made me want to mismatch my sheets. :hide

I have a clothes line, but the last couple of years I have been stung hanging clothes out. This year because only me and DS, I have been hanging clothes on a fence just outside my office door. This morning it was 39.
