Another rainy start today bit it was sunny in the afternoon. I still transplanted the last of the beans and corn. The salad garden is going crazy with the rain and warm weather. My daughters garden has a cucumber flower! She was very excited about that. We have been so busy building the goats area that I am so behind on weeding. I am excited to say that we finally finished the fence project and now the goats have a nice area for foraging. I cam finally focus on weeding! Took a little evening walk in the garden with my husband and he was so shocked that everything has grown so much! Tomorrow will be a busy day!

Some pictures from the garden I took today. Our neighbor walked over to our house and loved the tour we gave her of the garden. We share lots from our garden with her. She had never eaten kale or beet greens before so 2 days ago I took some to her and she loved them! She has tried so many different stuff in the last 3 years because of our garden and that makes me happy.

Finally had time to crush up cayenne, jalapenos and tobasco peppers that I had dried last year. Yesterday I spent some time organizing the garlic bulbs by size and braiding them. Today i noticed some baby beans on the plants! I am also picking off bean beetles 😡. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up so I can get a nice harvest. Rest of today will be spent mowing and harvesting peas. It's getting hot down here! Our spring lasts a few days it seems.

yeah, it seems we go right from winter to summer. this week is a bit warmer than i'd like but it is better than 90F. humid. ugh! will survive, but move slowly at times when i need to get outside and it is above 85F. breezes are saving me today.

i'm not sure if there are ways to attract and trap bean beetles. they are not a huge pest up here that i've noticed. the Japanese Beetles are what i see the most of and i can hand pick off those.

Wow! What a gorgeous garden! I feel like such a slacker. LOL
You are too kind. I take close up pictures lol so you dont see the mess. Its turning in to a jungle. I found lots of spider mites on my tomato plants today. It seems like I just can't win with the tomatoes this year. My husband did some research and I am planning to spray with insecticidal soap and oil tomorrow if it doesnt rain.

So they are not spider mites but aphids! :hitI am hoping and praying for a tomato harvest. I seriously had a talking to with God in the garden this morning. LOL. At least my corn and winter squash are doing well. Shared some peas and eggs with our neighbor. I sprayed the tomatoes with a home made spray. I'll keep doing that every 2 or 3 days.
