These are potatoes we harvested last August I think. We ate a lot of them and I saved the rest for seed. They are ready for planting!
The green field is where they will be planted!

Elderberry bushes are budding.

It looks like your potato seed stock over-wintered well.

Tilled and Put up two 50' trellises for the peas. Hoping to transplant some peas this week.
Unfortunately, our plum, peach and nectarine trees were all in full bloom when a hard frost hit. We live in a frost pocket and always seem to get the extreme end of the cold weather. Oh well.
Today was a big day for starting seeds! With my kids help we planted beets, peas, and parsley. I also planted some carrot seeds in the tiny soil block for transplanting.

Today was a potato planting day!
The whole family worked together to get it done. Even my kids worked hard!
I made their favorite dinner, pb&j with apple sauce :). It was perfect because I am exhausted.

Also canned 14 jars of pinto beans.

A big storm is rolling through, the potatoes will be well watered.

All the seedlings are doing great! I am so excited about the beets this year. My son loves beets and I've never been able to grow them.

Not much to see now but there sre 48 raspberry plants in this plot now.
Anyone that grows raspberries knows that the 48 plants will turn in to 480 plants in 2 years!
These plants were dug up from our own raspberry patch in another garden.
Love free plants!

Next, blackberries! We are not a huge fan of blackberries so I'm only planting one row. These will also be from our own garden.

Anyone have a good trellis system for blackberries and raspberries?
