She will be able to look through all the corrals and pick the horse, she'll what to look him in the eye, see his hooves. If you stare at one, watch one in a band or a corral they'll know it and push others away so you can give them your full attention or move away to the cover of the others. They can tell if we are admiring and some like it. They look you over and decide if they like you. The mustangs have been able to watch people, they wonder what we're about. They have had, each or them, a standing in a band, the lead mare will, the lead stallion, the members of the band all have been captive, all in great lots of horses, but no herd, no band. She'll pick one, who she and, in this case a Proud Geld, they will become a Band, they will decide together, today! We've been there at the center several times, today will be for keeps.

The wild horses in the west have been here from the time the Spanish brought them, there are no herds, they're in band of from 3 to 12 or 13. There are bachelor bands, they are together until one is able to steal a mare of his own, we get to know the bands, each run by a stallion and a lead mare. They're wonderful, still as free as we were once.

We've been talking to the BLM for two weeks, about what trailer to bring and all else, yesterday they knew we had the trailer ready and were coming today.They now say they don't have any horses up for adoption. That's the BLM.

How terrible. You had your hopes up and then they were dashed. Did they give you a reason why they led you to believe you would get one and then said they didn't have any? Did they indicate when they will have one? I hope something changes and that things will work out well. So sorry for your disappointment.

They have many, many, they're talking shots, and second shots, then gelding. I asked can we have our vet give the second shots. No, no they couldn't do the, he said, then there's gelding maybe the end of January.
You have to know the BLM. It may be the private vendors buying animals to ship to Mexico. If we adopt one it's $125, who knows what others pay for them, they're not actually suposed to sell, this is an adoption program.

Wifey called Carol, then handed the phone to our daughter, well we walked to Carols, she showed us her horses, we went by the stallions corral,he is hansom and big. We,wifey, carol and myself,talked for quite a while, Yerani talked a bit, but mostly to the stallion. They hit it off right away,after some time, she asked about entering the corral, carol said yes, we were concerned, this wasn't a saddle horse he was a stud.
She petted, rubbed and kissed, she rubbed his face and eyes, he went to sleep, she asked if she could have a halter. Within a short time he let her put on the halter, it wasn't long before she had him lunging. Well, she was able to walk him off carols spread through our back gate up to and into the working corral. They spent the afternoon together, he's not saddle broke but she got him to take blanket and with her hands on his back, she could jump up and down, without him spooking.

There are people who try all their lives to be half as good with horses as your daughter. She was born with a gift.
