I went hiking yesterday and was surprised that I still was able to find greens in the woods this time of year in the PNW!!!

What kind of greens did you find?

I picked chickweed this morning. I washed and bagged it up, it’s in the refrigerator. I’m making tacos for my supper. I’ll have to make a compost pile for chickweed to sustain my winter salads.

I found miners lettuce and dandelion greens! I wish I could find some chickweed this time of year! That sounds tasty!

There are 2 types of Miners Lettuce. Siberian and True Miners Lettuce. We almost always forage Siberian Miners Lettuce! It's very abundant here!
