Teachers tend to gather a large-ish collection of mugs -- most of them with an apple motif. Upon my retirement, I gifted the Salvation Army enough mugs for a goodly soup kitchen feed.

Now I have about a dozen mugs of the same size and shape, but different designs to keep from drinking out of someone else's cup. I tend to use the flowered ones and DH gets the darker or free designed mugs. Nope! No special mug.

I also once had a cabinet full of coffee mugs. I still do. Only difference is, they used to not match, an eclectic mis-mash of oddballs. We moved. We downsized. I got rid of almost all my mismatched mess, only kept a very few. I bought new dishes, blinding bright colors in circles that my DH just shook his head at. My daughter thought they were awful, my son said he didn't personally care for them, but that's what he would expect from me. I love them. :love

Yes, those count. I like certain knives and forks more than others, we have a gold plated set that is a dream to eat with, but we use them on rare occasions. I have a couple cup I like, they don't hold as much coffee as the large mugs, but our coffee is much stronger, than most would like.

There is a fork that was in the high desert ranch when we bought it, it found it's way into our silverware. I hate it, it's flimsy, I want to kill it. That's what I'll do, I won't complain ever again, I'll just throw the damn thing as far as I can south toward the southern fence, and never mention it again!

Coffee, we get our coffee from Costco, don't know if they're in all states. We buy whole beans couple pounds in each sealed bag. Pretty good coffee.

Sure do! This one has been sitting at my computer for YEARS. When I was serving in the nursery at church, the woman who was serving with me gave me this as a birthday present. We were both going through some very rough times and it really meant a lot to me that she remembered my birthday.
(plus, it holds 2 cups of coffee)

II have several mugs in that style. They are among the favorites. Yours is really nice with the verse and the thought behind the gift. <3
