My mom said my grandmother always grew spaghetti gourds when they were young. So I've been looking for them so I can grow them. My mother said they are long and skinny. My mother has a dried one that is probably nearly 30 years old (of course no seeds). I really want to find a few seeds.

Thanks for any help,

Do you mean spaghetti SQUASH? If so, you can find the seeds in almost any seed catalog. A smaller version is called Hasta la Pasta squash. I, myself, am trying this one this year. Sorry, I don't have any seeds to share yet. Maybe next year if they do well.

Well, will a squash dry like a gourd?

I need to get a picture of the gourd. Maybe that would help.

No it will NOT. A gourd is hardshelled, UNLESS you get the small ornamental types. There is a luffa gourd that is long & skinny--you peel off the shell to make scrubbers.
