2025 has become "Ducks the 'garden lurker' ".
EVERYBODY has beautiful pictures of their harvests, or to be harvests.
SO.Jelly!! :hit
I had to scoop out the ONE pepper I started from seed bc I had it in an old horse water bucket, NO drainage, and the recent rains had filled it up, so it was trying to drown. :hit

I will try transplanting it to something With drainage this weekend. It's still only 6 inches tall and I am thinking it might be a good candidate for winterizing.
I guess I've learned a LOT about container gardening this year.
I have 7 hot peppers happily growing and producing in my whiskey barrel container.
The 6 (or 7) tomatoes and 5 hot peppers in the old horse trough look very good, and some fruit.
Ironically (for newbies) I probably have the largest growing space here.
I have to be patient for a few more weeks and then I get to:
1) mow
2) weed
..repeat, repeat, repeat...
Until the end of the season in November.
Container gardening can be done successfully with little maintenance for future reference...
OH, GSD puppies in two weeks.

So, missed the window to plant beans. I bought 3 lbs at the Wednesday Amish farm stand instead and processed Them. 2 1/2 hours to cut off the ends, then, a total of 8 hours to blanche, freeze on trays in the porch freezer, then bag and put them back in the freezer for next winter.
I Will remember this next year when I grow and harvest And process!! :barnie

Had a roofing guy (that we trust, NOT the Bozo that lives here in town), out to give us an estimate on building repairs.
We walked around--him on his 2 feet, Me with my walker, "Peanut,"--then he launched his drone to take video.
Since I had somebody to "babysit" me, I weeded for about 15 minutes in the wildflower patch.
I found the lone watermelon vine and freed it, discovered 3 Amaranth growing, and made a big pile of weed grass.
I also grained the ponies.
All.by.myself.
PT reminded me Wednesday that my leg is still broken.
Put the fear of God into me--gotta still be Very Careful!
No vodka before my showers...
