i think any molasses or ginger snap cookie
recipe would work (add powdered ginger
and you're there).

allspice, ground cloves (only a little),
punkin pie spice mix, etc. all are good.

moderation with spices until you're familiar
with how they blend/age.

freeze in double bags to keep them from
picking up off flavors.

that is, if you have any around long enough to freeze. :) *guilty look* *ahem*

When I lived in Westport the oven broke. Months went by we ate out all the time so didnt matter. Every couple of months i would ask my SO who worked from home if repairman ever come. We had company visiting and they made a cake. We where shocked and asked how they bake it with broken oven. She said oven not broken the timer was set to off
