It will be the most beautiful thing to have you as neighbors. Thankfully, at least we are neighbors and friends here.
We had a lot of rain again today, so I have done a lot of cleaning and cooking indoors. I harvested the very first apple from one apple tree outside the chicken run. Its sweetness and acidity are pretty balanced, and I love the fresh aroma. The tree is relatively young, so I thinned out most of the fruits. The tree itself also did the same during June to July. In the end, there are only three left, but I am OK with this. The late summer pruning is done, and I hope those young trees can develop their roots well for more years to come.
Food for the chicken today - sometimes they helped us clean some leftovers, like rice and fish from the day before yesterday. They also have homegrown pumpkin, carrot, and beetroot.
Raw feed for cats and dogs: turkey thigh, beef trachea, pork, beef, herring, chicken liver, beef kidney, and beef spleen.
Our cats are officially adult now, just one year old.

I also prepared lunch boxes for my husband and daughter. They have pretty different favors, but it's not a problem for me. The bacon veggie rolls I made two days ago also contribute here.
After the cleaning works, we have curry rice for dinner. I preserved a decent portion in the freezer and just added pork shoulder butt today. I love homemade frozen food.
Tomorrow I will make adzuki bean soup (yes, it's sweet flavor) with other dried ingredients and share the variations here. I love adzuki beans so much - even just looking at them makes me happy. They can always recall good memories of home flavors.
