I've been keeping an eye on this monarch cat for several days waiting for it to get in a position where I could get a good picture. He finally cooperated this morning.

I enjoy the insects in my garden almost as much as the plants. Except those @%&* cabbage worms. My yellowjackets are falling down on the job of thinning them out with this cool cloudy weather.

I miss seeing those. There are some at a nature center nearby, but they used to be all over the yard when I was growing up in WI. Great pic :D

Monarch cats are such neat eaters. They usually start at the tip of a leaf and keep eating down to the nub before going on to the next one. It leaves the plant just looking trimmed instead of chewed to pirces.
