Flower in PNW

I was asked about this plant by DS in Portland. That's the "wetside." I think that we ruled out Campanula. Do you know?

It looks like it's going to bloom, so you may have to wait till then. Are the leaves slightly fuzzy?

Do you suppose that it's a salvia?

It would be ironic if I need help identifying a Silene. @Pulsegleaner had to help @Gardening with Rabbits and me with the weed awhile back. (But then, @Pulsegleaner thinks of me as a kid so I guess that it's ok .)

That's what it looks like to me also.

They have not seen it flower.

A neighbor gave it to them, apparently, not knowing what it is.

I shared the id information with them and they have looked at some foliage pics. Thank you and I can report back.

i was thinking sage or salvia of some kind, but that is where my expertise ends. i'm horrible at identifying things i haven't actually grown.
