I bet the parents don't allow just anyone in that bush without a fight, Michael. You may need to hang out nearby and wait for their return to identify the adult birds.

One thing for sure, they will look like "lunch" to your velociraptors I mean chickens if they can get at them!

I was strimming away when I found the nest only a few feet off the ground! I do hope the mother returns, they're recovered and hidden again. I'm thinking magpie?
And the the mini dino's have been given a warmimg, fear not for the little buggers! :)

I'm not sure what they are, maybe a fellow TEG'er from England will know. I'm mostly trained in knowing the birds from around my area (Eastern U.S.).

Maybe @NwMtGardener will know? She's not from England but big on birds.

My first thought was some kind of sparrow, possible?

Best bet is to stand back at least 20 feet and watch. They look like robins to me, with those big yellow brimmed mouths, but you may not have robins over there.

the yellowish color in the back feathers tells me they are not robins, at least not the type we have here in the US. could it be a European Robin?
