I bought some at the grocery today. I was going to put a couple of bulbs in the refer when I discovered there was some in there, and they were sprouting!!!
I now intend to plant those and a bit of what I bought.
I'll keep some of the new for cooking use.

I planted garlic from the grocery this year, and so far they look pretty good. They've sent up some nice looking greens. I have bought garlic online, but as much as I LOVE garlic, I don't have the space to plant a pound of cloves.

My garden has been done for about a month, due mainly to the major drought we are in. Honestly, I just got tired of watering. My neighbor dropped off a few loads of cow manure from his herd, and the chickens are working on breaking it up into a nice fine soil before I spread it out over my garden. Every year, I plan on getting my DH to till in the fall, but it never has worked out so far. Guess there's always next year....

I haven't got the garlic in yet.
Today I dug up a few straggler strawberry plants that had went untrained, kinda helter/skelter wherever they saw fit.
Hopefully by Thurs or Fri I can start amending with some nice compost.
We'll see!!!!
