my first glance had me asking why there was an alligator with grapes in it's mouth... but then i figured out it was blueberry pie (not on a plate or in a pie dish).

i also use it to make sure my desk is well covered with projects so that Mom doesn't begin to think that it being tidy and mostly empty is normal...

Oh, that. That artist does a sort of contents where he puts a bunch of random little pictures in each cartoon, and you are supposed to find them (bit like Al Hirschfeld and his "Nina's".)

It's the same reason why there is an upside down bird and hat on the wall, an eyeball on the counter, an alien in the window, a stick of dynamite under the window, and so on.

you can tell how awake i was this morning, just a few hours sleep and then woke up at 6am and still haven't gone back to sleep yet. busy day, but a good day.
