No (though oddly, it was still running in the local paper of the place I went to at summer camp)
It's sort of a family thing. My mom and (especially) my uncle were big fans, and passed the love on (I suppose a lot of families of this generation will do the same with Peanuts, The Far Side, etc.)
It just got passed down to me, like Tom Lerher, or Rocky and Bullwinkle.
