Getting any snow?

My Snowdrops are popping up...and the snow is going away.
I would be willing to have some fresh snowfalls before March.
But then I'm done!
Hear that weather?! I'm done with snow by March!

It has been in the low 60's and brilliant sunshine the last 2 days, cloudy this morning our neighbor's ( 3 doors away, and not friendly at all ) 8 ft. tall bush is in full bloom with pink flowers.

Teens and single digits at night for a few nights, but supposed to warm up to the 20s later on in the week. My chicken flock are ready for spring, they are trying to ignore the snow and are picking at grass peeking through. They don't seem to mind the cold at all.

so far only a couple flakes have fallen, they are calling for snow and ice monday night then rain....

this winter hibernation is killing me :caf.....

had to go into work this morning to remove a bad make up water pump for the boiler<have to get it rebuilt> also cut and grind out a leaking siphon tube and weld the new one for the pressure gauge.

the weather sure changed from the time going in and getting home. the YANKEE VORTEX is moving in, that wind cuts right though polyester work pants. with the wind chill it's 13* there's no lollygagging outside in them....

the state and county trucks are out in force brining the roads for the next wave...sunday night though monday night they are calling for 1-3" of snow and sleet then ice
and then late monday night anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" of rain, tuesday morning should be interesting on the roads......
the interstates and county roads, remind me of Bonneville salt flats......white. glad to see them being proactive for a change.

So, Major...will you have to throw another layer of protection over your winter crops or will the snow suffice for insulation?

since there is only beets and carrots left out there covered in plastic, not to worried....
will say this ..a ridged hoop house would be grand to have during the winter months that i could take down for the rest of the year...
