I hope she can pick herself herself back up.I don't know Marie, but I would guess so. I can't imagine there would be any other decision they'd come to. What she must be going through, she's spent over a decade finding homes for dogs on euthanasia lists, or in remote territories starving, flying them out and rehabbing them when necessary so they can someday find a home, all at personal cost to herself. Like so many who work in rescue, and long before this happened, she had said that rescue has broken her soul in a way that can never be repaired. She's just seen too much that will haunt her forever. And now this. What terrible luck.
Unfortunately IMHO that dog has lost it's chance now. It must have suffered terribly but personally I wouldn't let it near anyone else.
