Carson looks like like an adorable soul.I like that, frosted field trip with a frosted dog.
Carson is definitely frosted, but only 7 years old.
I've had to put boundaries down with Nancy big time.I've been following a trainer on social media for a few years, recommended to me by a local trainer who I trust. The past 2 weeks he's ended one board and train, and begun another; these last 2 dogs, because they were rather extreme in they're issues (bite owners, will attack other dogs etc.) really turned a light bulb on for me about dog behavior, especially because in future years I'd like to help rehabilitate dogs for rescues.
It's shocking to me, but some of the worst cases with dogs, where behavioral euthanasia is actually on the table, are plain and simple from too much love. It really is true that some dogs are completely destabilized by it. The one dog, a cattle dog, became unstable due to all the enrichment the owners were actually providing. I feel compassion for the people because those dogs are so clever, they make great trick dogs. But for this dog, enrichment games and tricks were like mental crack for him. The second dog, I don't know what the outcome will be, he's very dangerous to people due to guarding his owner (among other things) but it looks like it's all relationship based. With the trainer the dog looks to be quickly changing. Dog needs an owner to who isn't into loving him human style, but giving clear expectations about his role as a follower, so he can chill out. It really is true with dogs that the road to h*ll is paved with good intention. I'm closely following this last case!
