Hi ALL...

I just looked at the Wood Prairie site...and woohoo, recipes....

I looked at the Fiddlehead and Potato Frittata....

My ????....... what is a fiddlehead??
(something you boil!)

Fiddleheads are the new shoots of certain ferns. They need to be cooked, can't be eaten raw. We get the royal and cinnamon ferns around here (I've actually heard you can't eat the bracken ferns, but according to that Wikipedia article you can, I'd investigate it further before trying them). I've had them, they're good if they're cooked right.
