No fried squirrel for you, huh? My grandmother used to fry up a big platter of squirrel, including the heads. While I enjoyed the rest of the squirrel, I never could get past those orange teeth or cracking open the skull to eat the brains.

if you are hungry enough or a zombie you will always eat the brains. there's a lot of fat in there... i hear... *wiggle* *slosh slosh* *wiggle* :)

I've never been that hungry that squirrel brains looked tasty. LOL

i've never had cooked squirrel in any form to know, i probably would not eat the brains either. however, in the SS mindset, brains are useful for tanning hides among other things.

i’ve not had squirrel since we moved to Alaska yet i can still somehow smell that unmistakably pleasant aroma. :)
