Growing Asparagus

how much of a fraction? Mine is light all day but there are some wild bunches in fence rows that I also pick that are probably on light in 1/2 - 1/3 and they seem to grow fine.

The area gets filtered sunlight 1/2 the day and full maybe 1/3.

Make sure to watch out for moles, as they will eat the roots

I read somewhere else (hgtv, I think) that warm states should plant it in the fall. I think that is a better idea for me anyway. Gives me several months to prepare a bed for it.

We are in SC and we plant asparagus in January. I don't know how much luck you will have if you plant it now. I may rot in the ground. You can check clemson extension's gardening page and they have good, reliable instructions on planting in our zone.
