Today I noticed that hornworms had eaten almost all the leaves of what had been a great bush of datura. I went out and looked but couldn't find one worm.
I went back inside the garden and got to coil hose in the greenhouse an began to water the datura over the fence.
That's when I noticed the flicking. I watered it again and again the plant seemed to flick the water off.
I went out and looked closely, sure enough it was a hornworm big a round as your thumb. I clipped of the stem into a can and took the coil hose from the greenhouse as far as it would go and began watering the tomatoes. Each time a hornworm got wet it would snap to get the water off. I took a can full of worms to the chickens.
Can I patent this? Can I huh?
Try this if you didnt already know it. It's new to me. Let me know what you think.
