hatching chicks (joke)

I heard a joke today and though some on this forum would appreciate it

A city boy decided to start raising chickens so a nearby farmer sold him some hatching eggs.
A few weeks later the farmer ran into him and asked how they turned out.
"Didn't get a single chick"
"I don't understand that. I know those eggs were good. What went wrong?"
The city boy replied,"I don't know. Maybe I planted them too deep".

I better go out and dig the eggs out of the snow.

I had a semi wild hen one time hatch a clutch of chicks out of a snow covered brush pile. I couldn't believe it when she came marching out with the chicks following.
