Welcome! I raised ducks once (for the freezer) and I kept putting garbage bags of leaves in their pen. They made a wet muddy mess, no problem, I just tossed in more bags of leaves. In a 4 month period I used 42 bags of leaves. After the ducks went to freezer camp ( a lovely duck resort) I turned the chickens in the duck pen. They scratched and dug and fluffed it up. Then I planted corn and had a bumper crop! You could use your ducks the same way, it is a great way to increase the fertility of the soil!
