He's BAAAAck!

I walked about 1/2 mile this morning. Four weeks ago I thought I was doing great when I got to 20 feet. I walk fine without a walker but I take one along on long walks in case I poop out and need to catch my breath. It's a four wheel walker that has a seat on it to rest.

I am soooo glad to hear you're doing well. I am glad you will be back in the garden soon. I had a off garden year 7 years ago. It was when my daughter Eve was born. I had a hard time because as mom's go I am old, the official term was advanced maternal age. I had to take off from mid March until about mid July. I was able to can green beans and put up pickles but mostly supervised the planting. Just take a walk and smell the roses.

Half mile is great Hoodat! Keep it up and you will be in that garden this fall outdoing us all!
It's getting pretty late to be starting hot weather plants like tomatos and peppers but I think I can still get a good crop of purple pole beans on my trellis. Most of my efforts will be to dig and prepare the ground for a Fall crop. Although I don't have my rabbits back yet I still have several bins of composted rabbit manure and my compost pile pretty much matured while I was in the hospital so I should have some good garden soil.

I applaud you for making that 1/2 mile walk. I remember when I was in my early 50s and recovering from some big-time surgery. I was so proud of myself for making it to the end of my driveway and back. It's the little improvements along the way that let you know how much better you are getting. Take care, I'm learning a lot about gardening from reading your posts!

Welcome back Hoodat!!!

Iwas getting worried, we all were!

You take it easy, rest up, do what the docs say, and you'll be alright.

I'm actually going to only be on rarely for awhile. My modem broke, and i have to go a ways to get on wifi.
