I was convinced to put a dish washer when we remodeled our kitchen. I grew up without one so I seldom used it. One day it flooded and our home owner's insurance covered the damage. Instead of getting another one we decided to put in a wine cooler instead. Best decision ever. I love that thing. We keep our beer, white wine, gatorade, and milk in there. It's so convenient because I just take the milk out and the glasses are in the cabinet right above it.

... how do you not clean when you know company is coming ?

I learned a new word recently: scurryfung. It once meant to clean quickly. The idea is to beat the mess with vigor!

In my mind, I can almost hear Winston Churchill saying that. "We will give it a good scurryfunging. With vigor!"
