Birth control for horses!
Yes. Rather than killing them off.

If there are people with money or charity's that support them they could start with the fouls. That way they get to live along with people finding sanctuaries for like this lady in the clip.

I get that wildlife riverbanks and plantation would suffer left as it is but surely there are other solutions that can be thought through

Americans have a love for horses thanks in part to westerns like Roy Rogers. Every blade of grass they eat, is a food source that native animals can’t eat. Think of idiots who released Lionfish into Florida waters.....

Maybe making sure they don't have foals would be the answer like stray cats
Friend's DF, Professor Emeritus, Animal Sciences, has indeed performed birth control in wild animals. It's all about cost. Honestly, though the real fight is rounding up on horseback. Foals run themselves wild and break their legs and have to be euthanised...if the BLM does it.
