Man oh man ... those that go out to catch a snipe listen to old wive's tales where one has to go out in the early full moon morning , sanse all wardrobe, while there is a heavy dew on the ground . Then sneak up on the snipe and sprinkle salt only on it's 3rd tailfeather on it's left side. Then grab it. That folks rarely if ever works! The truth of the matter is that one has to prepare oneself for the HUNT by first consulting the up to the minute weather report, dress accordingly in the proper gentleman attire for the occation. Be fully versed of the aerodynamic flight pattern of the snipe as it flushes from it's hiding place in the woods, calculate the snipe's assent speed in relation to your gun powder load and size of shot load, then calculate the rate of your trigger squeeze speed , pull the trigger as the snipe ziggs instead of zaggs. Then hope that one shot hits the snip's right side of it's head so that no meat is bruised. After you retrieve the now deceased snipe, call your iron chef to prepare the fine gourmet fare with fine Chateau la Salle. :thumbsup
