How Did You Get Your Login Name?

My father was a first generation Hungarian... which makes me Hungarian - or a Hunkie. Dorie just seemed to go with Hunkie and 23 is my #. My parents were married on the 23rd of June. My brother was born on the 23rd of July (not the same year). I was baptised on the 23rd of Feb. When I got married ... yep 23rd of Jan. to my husband whose birthday was also the 23rd of July. First child, a son born 23rd of July. All my husbands brothers were born on the 23rd of various month.

Creedence or CCR. To certain people, we know what this means!!!

Proud Mary - Lookin' Out My Back Door - Down on the Corner - Bad Moon Rising - Suzie Q

It's more than just a generation gap. Now it's elevator music.
Let's dance! :weee

The last six months I worked.....and I had to be at work at 6 AM..... as I drove to work, I sang along with CCR ..."Bad Moon A Rising" at the top of my lungs. I knew the new maniacal management was a goin' down and I was celebrating their downfall and my carefully planned escape to freedom.
F-R-E-E-D-O-M! ( The every ringing cry from Braveheart. ) :throw

As for Ladyhawke..not only do I fly over the cuckoos nest..I keep my eye on the cuckoo's nest. :bee

I love knowing all this!

My screen name is from the simple fact that I am indeed my husbands' country wife. And as a girl who was raised in the city and corrupted by a redneck, I adore being his countrywife.

Wow... what a story!!! :D

I agree... get you a lotto ticket on the 23rd of every month.

I am the mother to a large flock of giant dewlap toulouse geese, not to mention lots of other poultry and animals, 5 children and a husband. We are the "old McDonalds farm" and I am mothergoose!
Christie :D

Name of my Silver Laced Wyandotte, which ended up being the nastiest chicken I have ever owned! She seemed so sweet as a chick.
Anyhow, when choosing names I saw a french lady on tv with the name and it sounded like silver so I used it for her and my login name. I use it for 3 of the 4 forums and am seemingly stuck with it. :tongue

who'd have thought such a simple question would lead to such an interesting array of answers. It's been a delightful read :)
My login is the name of my mostly-about-gardening blog so I can guess your next question ... 'how did I come up with the name for my blog?'.

From a green fingered point of view the phrase is a reminder of the need to take action and not dilly dally about when something is not working.
And for life away from the garden it reminds me of the importance of not letting your responses to negative experiences seed sleepless nights and worry filled days - 'nip it in the bud' and seek the good in all things.
