I love those repurposed containers, too. I have an old black coal bucket that I keep thinking would look great with a bunch of bright pink petunias trailing out of. Just gotta make some drainage holes.

Aieee you are poking holes in it! Sis and I both would love to find a watering can like that for $12 and USE it for it intended purpose. Then I might get another for a planter. ;)
time to visit Farm & Fleet and Theisen's (no excuse needed - even DH would go along!) :)

They had 2 of them. I almost bought both but I didn't want to do of the same planters. @so lucky part coal bucket would be very cool! I saw an old poultry feeder that was reused.

The top was planted like normal and the tray around the bottom where the birds would eat the feed was lined with hen & chicks! Was very cool looking! I ALMOST bought a galvanized feeder too but was $35 and had already spent enough.

Fun idea for the future though.
