OH MY GOSH!!!! You've got DUCKLINGS!!!! How precious is that!?!?!

I know NOTHING about ducks... but I can tell you that chicks raised by a mother hen are NOT tame. The only way I've ever raised tame babies (chicks) is to raise them in a brooder. That way, they need you. You are their source of food, water, treats and they come to accept being held and not fear 'THE GIANT HAND' dropping out of the sky and scooping them up.

I am hoping to tame the babies. Mom and dad want nothing to do with me even when I bring food.

you're in a real bind here because if you get them fixated on you and they want to be around you when you're outside then the parents may come after you...

might need to wear leathers and goggles until things settle down.

Is there a way of gently separating the parents from their babies for a few minutes and try hand feeding them. Offer some tidbits in your open hand or just toss it down in front of them.
