It's a cantaloupe! Mine look the exact same and we just picked two big ones this week. 
Half of my garden is covered with cantaloupe that popped up all on there own.

I had one volunteer near my compost bin and found it to be a canteloupe. I was wondering how yours turned out! Glad to hear you got some free food out of it!
