It's Not Too Late To Start or Restart Planting Veggies

I've got to get on the ball and get my fall crops out. Had a pretty hectic couple of weeks here lately and things are getting outta control in the garden. I'm just about ready to hit it with the weedeater and plant it all to buckwheat for the bees!

But thanks for the encouragement anyway! ;)

I just took out my Cherokee yellow bean bushes. They were still producing but I have plenty of pole beans and I had canned all the yellows I wanted. I think yellow beans stay firmer than green when canned. As soon as I get the ground turned it will be going into Fall crops. Get out the BT. I always get cabbage loopers. Cabbage butterflies are active year round here.

I noticed that about them too... I marked on my calendar when I first saw them come about (May 21st here) and they've not gone away since! They are relentless and prolific. :barnie

I was just out sewing carrot seeds yesterday, along with some collard, radish, lettuce, and a few others. Our milder fall weather keeps me eating fresh veggies until December most years..

Biggest problem currently is having to ration the watering, as I am on a well, and we haven't had rain in over a month..

Beautiful garden, bills!

Boy, your grass is just about toast! I can tell it's been dry.

Love the maple leaf flag. Patriotic veggies. :D I see you're also into the "men in sheds" movement.
