I felt seen and affirmed.
A new customer from a neighboring town asked if we can arrange a Christmas celebration dinner party (usually in December, not really on Christmas Eve or Christmas) for her team of four persons. I told her that private dinner parties usually require at least six guests.
She said, “We are willing to pay for six, even seven persons, as we’ve heard so much about NichiNichi.”
I was a bit shocked, and deeply touched.
Moments like this are like warm lanterns along a long journey. Day by day, season by season, sometimes through exhaustion and doubt—and then someone steps forward and says, without grand words:
“We see you. It’s worth it.”
Such moments become part of the café’s heartbeat.
