Many in my neighborhood shoot off fireworks on the 4th... and since I had the GS over night, we shot off a few as well. He's 6 YO, and really enjoyed it. The neighborhood is pretty tolerant; but there are always a few who keep shooting until midnight or later some years. This year a storm rolled in about 10:30, and put a stop to the "late boomers". First time this year I've actually been happy to see rain.

we live next door to a bar that has an outdoor volley ball court. Any storm that sends them home by 10 p.m. is welcome!

I forgot this (but it's on my other thread), the cherry pie I made for the 4th.
