injunjoe, my talents do not include drilling glass, well really any drilling at all .. but im not forgetting the beta could like air bubbles, and i would like to just drop the line in from the top of the vase, i will check it out ..
im still scared to cut the roots, but i played in the yard all day, so im headed in to cut some roots .......

Here you can see were the air hose goes in, easy to hide not having to go over the top.

A betta fish does not require oxygenated water; they have a primitive method, like lungs, to take from the air directly.

Other than that it is fantastic looking. Very "OHHHHHH Yeahhhh!" type 70's vibe to it. Break out the strobe! :happy_flower :rose :happy_flower
 
The pump is for another project and is way to big.
I could not find a valve in my collection of goodies.
I should have pinched the hose a little for the picture.

Although they don't need air to breath, it is much nicer with a little movement of water.

A few fancy Gold Fish would be nice too.
