I had one when I was in grade school, it was a great pet. Does it stick around the garden or, just passing through?
so far he has been hanging around my garden, He has been eating ants. and seems to enjoy cool shade and mud in my garden! Hes hard for me to find him unless he moves..

There used to be quite a few around San Diego but come to think of it, it's been years now since I last saw one.

Back when my now-63 year old DH was in Boy Scouts, he ordered a horned toad from an ad in the back of his scout magazine. He said it cost $1.00 and was shipped to him in a box, about 3x3 inches. It was pretty dehydrated but alive when it arrived, and he kept it for several years.
