I had a 20 acre horse ranch near Academy... we recently said good by to the heat and moved to suburbia in a small town just N of Vancouver, Wa.

Good for you, Bob! This heat really does get tiring. Hope you are enjoying Washington.

Vja - I know what you mean about the critters! The darned things sure can be persistent in eating our hard-earned crops. Around here we have ground squirrels, moles, voles, gophers, mice, deer, raccoons, and wild pigs. It's always something!
