My son is looking at new cars so I'm sending him this.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis inflation calculator tells us that 2,000 in 1960 is $21,793.54 in today's money. Do you think that this will help DS make a choice?

I had a Ford Fairlane of about this year but bought it used and replaced the engine. No idea that heaters were optional! Sold the Fairlane, with its rebuilt V-8, to the kid down the road. Got a good price for it. Can't remember what it was ;).

My first car was a used 1960 Ford Falcon that my father had repaired.
