new yorker tomato

Thanks guys, this was the New Yorker off the plant I had in the greenhouse for so long. We took it out of the greenhouse and left it on the patio, it got way too hot in the greenhouse. All the other flowers on the plant had dried up but more are forming now.
DH kept wanting to pick it after it had colored up but I said no, not until it's at it's peak. The New Yorkers planted in the garden are setting fruit but won't be ready for some time.We usually don't get ripe tomatoes until mid August through September around here unless I plant early varieties.
Beefstakes are a lost cause they take too long to ripen here, usually Sept.-Oct. Our falls are so unpredictable, it can be mild with no frost until Nov. but occasionally we've had killing frosts in August.
