Think of a berm and swale system, a gentle slope where you can still mow it and its easy to walk around, but it still keeps the water on his side. I did that on the uphill side of my coop and run to divert the rainwater. Works pretty well.

well, the other day i planted some watermelon seeds, they are doing awesome. My DH and I went to the Farmers Market today and got some fresh produce as well as I got some Cilantro to plant and some Peppermint to plant. they have both been planted in their own decent sized pots. I figured I wouldn't have them share at all since they are both very invasive. My DH really dislikes mint, but I grew up with it all over my yard (because my dad wasn't the smartest and planted it in multiple spots in the flower bed) so he let me get it under the condition I would watch it to make sure it would not get out of hand. I am going to get some other herbs at least next Saturday also. :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday.
