My oldest daughter baked her first pumpkin pie with a home grown garden pumpkin from scratch when she was 8 years old. She insisted to do it all by herself. It turned out very well and she was beaming with pride!

That's so sweet. I'm not really a baker I prefer cooking but the oldest daughter is an amazing baker.

Does anyone want me to send them the 6 boxes of pectin I have? I think it's just a less sugar version and I don't do anything that's low sugar or sugar free. Let me know and I will get it in the mail Monday morning.

My oldest daughter got the keys to her new house on the 7th of December and we celebrated Christmas at her house. I'm super proud of her but her boyfriend needs to get kicked to the curb. I wonder if the city dump would take him for her

Certainly, it would not be a good time to be on the Donner Pass ... in a wagon train or otherwise.

My great grandmother's uncle used up much of the family's adventurous energy .

Caleb Greenwood was reported to have been ordered to stay at a base camp while the rescue party continued on to the Donner wagon train rescue. The leader decided he was too old to risk the adventure.

I've just been getting rain and wind. The mountain areas North of us are fairly clear. Donner pass is almost always shut down or at least people are stuck putting on chains. I tell everyone that I might not have been born in California but I was raised here and we don't know nuttin about that white stuff and if it gets here I am all good with staying home. LOL

i've done enough driving in all sorts of stuff that i don't want to do any more of it.
